The VehiCROSS has decent tread on its tires, but I wouldn’t say it has good tires. Yesterday with about 3 inches of unplowed snow and non-functional 4wd, it was fishtailing its way down the street. To that end, I’ve done what I always do: buy a set of BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2s.
The largest size that fits the truck without any lift or cutting is about a 32" tire, so I went with a 265/75/16...that gives me a 31.6" height, or an inch taller than stock. They’ll go on white letters out, because white letters out or get the fuck out, and then I’ll plastidip the wheels black because I really liked that look on the Land Cruiser.
Now I just have to ship the guitar I sold to pay for them and I’ll be mint.
*Update* If anybody is interested, 4WheelParts.com has these on sale. $100 off a set of four, plus they’re paying your sales tax on BFG tires. Just thought I’d add that in there, this set was $650 shipped, which is a pretty great price.

I endorse your views on white letters.

I don’t get why you’d ever turn them in. White letters are the best.

If you haven’ t bought them yet, think about the Goodyear Duratracs. I’ve had both on the same truck and preferred the Duratracs in every way, especially in snow and ice.

I’ve had the KO2s on a few vehicles and have loved them. I also really like the classic look, where the Goodyears are a bit busier.

Agreed.

+1 for KO 2s. Had them on my JKU, nice ride and quiet compared to the OE tires.

Worrying about tires and wheels before you’ve even fixed the major issues. You are a true Jalop.

Ha! I mean you’re not wrong. It can leak exhaust forever, it’s gonna look wicked on those KO2s.

Exactly. I had them on an 01 F250 and on an 80 Series Land Cruiser and I was shocked at how quiet they were and how nice they rode. Plus I almost bought a set of 245/75 KOs for $580, so 265/75 KO2s for an extra $70 seemed like a no brainer.

I really liked the KO2s on my Pathfinder and Cherokee as well. Great tires, I just had a better experience with the Duratracs. Can’t go wrong either way.

Totally. I’d bet I’d like the Duratrac plenty...if I already had them I definitely wouldn’t be replacing them. Just got that brand loyalty thing going with BFG, haha.
